The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. The Lord lifts up the humble.
Praise the Lord! The works of His hands are verity and justice; all His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.
While we tend to focus on Job’s loss of family and fortune along with his intense physical suffering, in point of fact, it was his godly character that made him Satan’s target for a brief time.
With ultimate fulfillment occurring in the still future Messianic Kingdom, this prophecy proclaimed by the prophet Isaiah elevates Israel to a position of honor.
For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever . . .
