While we tend to focus on Job’s loss of family and fortune along with his intense physical suffering, in point of fact, it was his godly character that made him Satan’s target for a brief time.
With ultimate fulfillment occurring in the still future Messianic Kingdom, this prophecy proclaimed by the prophet Isaiah elevates Israel to a position of honor.
For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever . . .
The one and only God of creation is not hiding from us! Not only does He invite man to enjoy a personal relationship with Him, God has provided all that is necessary to make redemption possibe.
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth!
Rather than succumbing to intimidation, discounting the reality of evil or passively hoping it would go away, Asaph turned to God confident He would demonstrate His awesome power.
