SUNDAY MEDITATION: Psalm 113
Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down, the Lord’s name is to be praised.

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent.
But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you,
You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.
The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord;
And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion . . .
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.
