GOD IS AWESOME

SUNDAY MEDITATION (Psalm 116)

Gracious is the Lord, and Righteous
Today’s Text: Psalm 116:1, 3
SUNDAY MEDITATION

The following excerpts from the Psalms remind that God’s gracious dealings with us should promt an attitude of profound thanksgiving and dependence upon Him.

PSALM 116:1, 3

I love the LORD, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.

Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;
Yes, our God is merciful.

The LORD preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me.

Return to your rest, O my soul,
For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

PSALM 36:5-9

Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep;

O LORD, You preserve man and beast.
How precious is Your loving kindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.

What a privilege to enjoy a relationship with God who is gracious to all! Let the truth about God’s graciousness motivate your worship today.
