As a biblically authentic Christian committed to a literal, historical, grammatical interpretation of Scripture, loving Israel and standing in solidarity with the Jewish people is the only morally viable response.
The Word of God provides the supreme compass pointing to the truth for establishing our moral bearings while venturing through life’s realities.
Failure to speak and act on behalf of God’s Chosen People is nothing less than the reticence of complicity.
When people of faith earnestly seek God on a personal level with every concern in life, we are acknowledging that He alone has the ability to intervene for good on our behalf in spite of the challenges.
Without a God’s-eye view of Israel, perceptions can be easily skewed. People of faith must be serious about getting the historical facts right and communicating biblical truth.
Now is not the time for people of faith to sit huddled together with hands folded, heads bowed and eyes closed intoning that we are to be “in the world and not of the world” while nations convene in Paris for the purpose of shackling Israel. Failure to speak and act on behalf of Israel is the reticence of complicity.
