God Sees All
Today’s Text: PSALM 11:4-7
SUNDAY MEDITATION

The Bible Is the Foundation for Life

The following words written by King David are especially appropriate to our circumstances today.

 PSALM 11:4-7
The Lord is in His holy temple,
The Lord’s throne is in heaven;

His eyes behold,
His eyelids test the sons of men.

The Lord tests the righteous,
But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Upon the wicked He will rain coals;
Fire and brimstone and a burning wind
Shall be the portion of their cup.

For the Lord is righteous,
He loves righteousness;

His countenance beholds the upright.

Do evil men act with impunity? King David tells us that the exact opposite is true.

God Sees All
With His searching and piercing gaze, the Lord scrutinizes the actions of men from His holy throne in heaven.  Individuals and nations who commit brazen acts of violence will be held accountable for their conduct. He will judge them accordingly.

God Will Destroy Evil
In a graphic description of fiery judgement, we are told that wicked men (and women) will be judged according to their deeds. Meanwhile, be comforted. The Lord’s blessing and favor are with those who trust Him.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace” (Num. 6:24-26).

The restatement of the Lord’s watch care as found in the Aaronic blessing reinforces the profound truth that we can have peace in spite of troubling circumstances because God sees all.
