SUNDAY MEDITATION (Psalm 33)

Worship with Rejoicing
Today’s Text: Excerpts from Psalm 9 & 33; 1 Chronicles 16
SUNDAY MEDITATION

For those who enjoy a relationship with God, worship is an act of rejoicing as seen in the following passages:

PSALM 33:1-4

Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.

Praise the LORD with the harp;
Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.

Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

For the word of the LORD is right,
And all His work is done in truth.

1 CHRONICLES 16:31-34

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
And let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.”

Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.

Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the LORD,

For He is coming to judge the earth.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

PSALM 9:1-2

I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

Let your worship today be characterized by genuine praise and rejoicing in all God has done for you.
